Why Thorn?
October 2017 was a VERY busy season for me as I was doing custom costume commissions at the time, and of course Halloween is one of the busiest seasons for costumers! Sadly, because I was so busy I didn't have much time to put together a costume of my own, so I wanted to come up with an idea that I could essentially put together in a night. Luckily, it all came together, but I ended up not even wearing it anywhere because I had failed to make any plans in all my chaos! Bummerrrr. But I'm saving it for a full Hex Girls group because that has been my dream for like EONS so hopefully one comes together in the near future! ;3

About This Costume
I tried to make this as easy and simple as possible, using as much on-hand items and materials as I could. In the end I had to buy poster board for the guitar, fabric for the dress, and a sweet black/red ombre wig! The rest of the stuff though, the necklace, the shoes, the fangs, bright red satin, and anklets were able to be made using items I had already.
Drafting the dress was extremely straightforward. Luckily spandex doesn't fray so cutting in the jagged edges was a snap! I also already had patterns for the sleeves and sash, and drafting the patterns for the sleeves was a cinch. All in all, an extremely easy build, perfect for a quick Halloween outfit!
